Douglas Hyde Interpretative Centre

Douglas Hyde was the first President of Ireland, co-founder of the Gaelic League and champion of the Irish language, traditions and folklore. Roscommon County Council asked us to redesign an Interpretative Centre dedicated to this remarkable man in Frenchpark, Roscommon. The exhibition is housed in Portahard Church where his father was rector, a beautiful venue that we built into our creative solution as it was central to the Hyde family history.
