DIGITAL MARKETING GENIUS
Tell us about your working career to date and what brought you to Genius?
During my time at University I was working part-time in sales for a Property Management company, enjoyed the role so much that after graduation I decided to stay with the company, which was a great experience for me. This kick started my career in sales & customer service – I then moved over to a global insurer, which furthered my experience. I moved into the tech space with Benefex and this is where my interest and passion for marketing really blossomed.
As time went on I realised marketing was where my true passion lay. I spent time developing my skills through volunteering roles for apps doing content creation and blogging for them to the more serious stuff like digital marketing courses. At this point I was excited to learn a position became available at Genius and I was fortunate enough to be given the opportunity to join an amazing team!
What do you like most about your role?
That it is varied. With a great mentor like Louise along with the support of the whole team. Really excited to be a part of the Genius journey and to contribute towards the success of the company and our customers!
What do you like to do outside of work?
I like to stay fit and enjoy working out, really into skipping at the moment. I love being creative and spend some of my spare time doing some creative writing / blogging / interviewing inspiritaional Muslim women for Muslimah app, a place for Muslim women to have a voice to help inspire the youth. Love fashion and designing clothes – give me some fabric and watch me go! Other than this i’m very much a family gal and love spending time with family especially my nine nieces & nephews.
